Brian Carey

Having graduated from University College Dublin in 2003, Brian moved to New York to work on the completion and commissioning of a new sustainable high rise apartment building. Brian returned to Ireland in 2004 and worked with Gilroy McMahon Architects for over 10 years and gained invaluable experience in a wide range of building types including public buildings like the Hugh Lane Gallery, commercial office buildings, educational facilities, large scale residential developments, sports facilities, industrial buildings and one off houses. Brian has a particular interest and experience in energy and sustainability and has completed an RIAI training course in low energy domestic refurbishments. Brian has been a member of the RIAI since 2007.

Barbara Carey
BSc Arch, BArch, MRIAI
After graduating from University College Dublin in 2003, Barbara worked with Tony Mullen Architects in Dublin for over 10 years, specialising in both residential and commercial work ranging from small to large scale. Barbara has extensive experience running residential projects, from inception through to completion, including small and large domestic extensions, one-off builds, bespoke furniture design and full remodelling of period houses and protected structures. She has comprehensive first hand experience in tender analysis, payment certification, final accounts and first and third party planning appeals. Barbara was project architect on the 2007 extension of the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Dublin and has been a member of the RIAI since 2008.
